45° Tray

I designed the 45° tray for the KC maker faire. I wanted to reveal the process of cnc routing in a surprising way.

The 45° Tray reveals the process that lies behind it. The smooth sanded top of the tray contrasts with the exaggerated kerf on the bottom, showing the process of CNC routing in an intuitive and surprising manner. Picking up the tray reveals the unique texture and invites exploration and learning.
